Love and Pride opening May 28th

Exhibition with new portraits

CSD Münster, 2024

The Pride marches (in Germany called CSD: Christopher Street Day) stand internationally for the equality of people. The colors of the rainbow are symbolic of tolerance, diversity and pride in the LGBTQ+ community. The number of CSDs in Germany is growing continuously (from 140 in 2023 to 162 in 2025), and their importance is increasing in larger and smaller communities equally.

Katharina Bosse has been taking portraits of people at Pride events since 2024. Many pictures are taken in a moment of momentary calm, shortly before or after the parade. The people are usually seen in pairs or groups. The pictures show humanity, closeness and community. She photographs in regions in East and West Germany. In addition to larger CSDs such as Münster, also in Detmold, Minden, Zeitz, Dortmund, Erfurt and Herne. An Exhibition with some of the works will be shown at Kunstraum Elsa in Bielefeld, Germany May 28-June 27th.
